Getting Started Tutorial
The Getting Started tutorial helps new users learn the core features of 42feeds step-by-step. It is designed to guide you through the initial setup of your first project, from data import to channel export.
Tutorial Progress
The tutorial appears as an interactive widget in the bottom-right corner of the application. It shows how many steps you have completed and how many are left.
The 4 Steps to Success
The walkthrough covers the following key stages:
- Import Your First Feed The first step is bringing your data into 42feeds. You'll be guided to the Import page to upload a CSV, paste a URL, or connect a Google Sheet.
- Map Your Fields
Once data is imported, you need to define how your source columns (like
item_name) map to standardized project fields (liketitle). This ensures consistency across all your channels. - Create an Export Template Next, you'll choose a channel template (e.g., Google Shopping or Meta) and configure the specific mappings required by that platform.
- Generate Your Export The final step is generating the optimized feed. You'll get a public URL that you can submit directly to your advertising platforms.
Using the Widget
- "Go to" Buttons: Each step includes a button that takes you directly to the page where the action needs to be performed.
- Auto-tracking: The tutorial automatically detects when you've completed a step and advances to the next one.
- Minimize: You can minimize the widget by clicking the "X" icon. It will stay pinned as a small "Continue Tutorial" button in the corner.
- Skip Tutorial: If you're already a pro, you can click "Skip tutorial" at any time.
Restarting the Tutorial
You can restart the tutorial at any time:
- Open Settings
- Find the Getting Started Tutorial section.
- Click Restart Tutorial.
The floating tutorial widget will reappear and reset your progress.
