Quality Alerts
Quality Alerts automatically monitors your product feeds and notifies you about critical issues that could cause channel rejections or prevent your products from being listed. This feature helps you catch and fix problems early, ensuring your feeds meet all requirements.
Where to Find Quality Alerts
Quality Alerts appear in the Quality Alerts widget on your Dashboard (Home page). No setup is required—alerts are generated automatically after every import.
What Quality Alerts Detects
Quality Alerts identifies the following critical issues:
Feed-Level Issues
- Unreachable feeds: When your feed URL returns errors or times out.
- Parsing failures: When the feed content cannot be read due to invalid formatting.
Missing Required Fields
Alerts trigger when any of these core fields are missing:
- Product identifier (
id) - Product name (
title) - Product page URL (
link) - Product image URL (
image_link) - Product price (
price)
Health Score Drops
- Alerts when your Feed Health Score drops by 20 points or more after an import.
Google Shopping Blocking Issues
- Missing or invalid fields specific to Google Shopping requirements.
Alert Information
Each alert includes:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Alert type icon | Indicates the type of issue (feed, field, score, or channel). |
| Title | A brief description of the problem. |
| Affected items | The number of products impacted (when applicable). |
| View link | Takes you directly to the affected items or settings. |
How Alerts Are Generated
Alerts are automatically created:
- After manual imports (uploading a file, importing from a URL, or connecting a Google Sheet).
- After scheduled imports (automated feed refreshes).
Understanding Alert Severity
All alerts in this phase are marked as Critical, meaning they:
- Will cause channel rejections.
- Prevent products from being listed.
- Significantly impact feed quality.
Resolving Alerts
Manual Resolution
Click the checkmark button on any alert to mark it as resolved. This removes it from your active alerts list.
Automatic Resolution
When you import a new feed that fixes the issue, related alerts are automatically resolved.
Using Deep Links
Clicking "View" on an alert takes you directly to the problem:
| Alert Type | Destination |
|---|---|
| Missing field | Items page filtered to show items missing that field. |
| Health score drop | Items page with the Diagnostics tab open. |
| Google Shopping issue | Items page filtered by channel and issue type. |
| Feed unreachable | Schedule page to check import settings. |
Best Practices
- Check alerts after every import: Review the Dashboard after uploading or refreshing feeds.
- Fix critical issues first: All current alerts are critical and should be addressed promptly.
- Use deep links: Click through to see exactly which items are affected.
- Resolve when fixed: Mark alerts as resolved once you've addressed the underlying issue.
